Welcome to Burnt River - 2008
Burnt River Off-Road Vehicle Facility would like to
thank all their members for supporting us in 2007.
We had seen a lot of new comers and members enjoy our facility. With
this support we were able to make improvements and make the track bigger.
Burnt River’s 2008 season will be adding
and testing the track with woodchip. This will make the dirt on the track
much better; the track would not be so hard pack. The woodchips will also
help keep moisture in the track. Thanks to Hydro Canada for supplying the
wood chips.
This year
Burnt
River purchase a newer
water tank (no leaks) and new water pump. We are hoping this will help water
the track quicker and more volume of water will be available.
Burnt River is also looking into starting
to build their second Motocross Track. This will give Burnt River
to stay open to the public for practice when we have events or schooling is
scheduled.
Burnt River is also going into the City of Kawartha Lakes for another zoning change to
allow rally cars. The Ontario Rally Sport of Ontario is looking for a closed
in place to hold Rally X, testing and tuning and schooling. We will keep you
posted on this issue.
This year 2008 schedule is looking good; we
have Ryan Gauld Mx Schools, CMX races, LDR events, 3 provincial harescramble
and a national harescramble event. Burnt River will also have Burnt River Mx
schools for Beginners/50 track only, held once a month on Saturday. We have
a great package deal available.
A lot of people were wondering about our
fence issue over the last few years. Burnt River is very please to announce
that we don’t have to do anymore fence. We can say that our zoning amendment
is finalized and completed. We can look forward to the future of the
off-road facility for many years to come. Thank you to all the riders and
clubs that have supported us though this long process. Your support is
greatly appreciated.
